LIGHT IN MOTION
I am concerned with the portrayal of the human spirit in the vastness of
space and time. Time shifts and light moves in each piece leading to my
final imagery. My continued interests have been with how motion, light,
and the complexity of forms effect other forms in space.
The monotype and painting process enable me to layer forms, creating
depth. The light and dark build the foundation for the abstracted work. Subtle changes influence the transformation of how we experience
movement in various intensities of light. This is exemplified by the elliptical
forms.
They are about the energy and movement that we experience in the natural
order of things around us. The sculptures are the dimensional outgrowth of
my treatment of movement in space.
