"Towards the Light"

My interest lies in the variety of appearances of plants and organic structures. I also want the works personalized as a metaphor for the nature of people. In the way things grow, positive strength is shown. Nothing has to be obviously structured to understand its aim and energy in life. I mix realistic parts with more open abstract elements hidden under several layers of less definition. Through this the viewer becomes part of the painting by integrating one's own perception and knowledge of things.

I believe that the double meaning of this Sam Francis's quote works very well for what my artwork is about!

"There are as many images as eyes to see"

And many things want to be looked at closely ...
